Months ago , i was looking for a friend of mine for an EMR software that run on MS Windows , However i manage to make him a list of what i found , but with no chance to try them successfully , as i am not Windows User , i shifted to linux a while ago .
However the list in here could be useful for doctors who are looking for free EMR software that can be used in their clinics with minimal certain needs .

VersaForm EMR Basic Edition :
The basic Edition is the free one , it’s a rich featured EMR , Good for small clinics , it’s large size software ( 176 MB ) but it’s promising .

is a promising , featured rich EMR , suited for doctors who like to keep track of their patients , time , payment and records . however the main site is making a notice ,that its a restricted software for US individuals only , you can download it from Download.com

- All the features that you need for your clinic . ( Registration ,Appointment Scheduler , Billing , Recoding , Tracking , Reports )
- Simple Administration .
- Simple GUI .
Disadvantage :
- Can’t Be Downloaded from its Home page Unless you are a US Citizen , but you can get it from Downloads .com .

Commercial EMR , comes from a people who knows exactly the meaning of collaborative software , Mipsis.com , has a rich products set , which is filed mostly under collaborative software . Mipsis Medical Management software , comes with simple GUI .
Advantage :
- Record all the basic Data ( test , examinations patients data )
- Simple ,Useful GUI.
Disadvantage :
- Commercial .

Free , Features Rich . and well presented

- Slow : real slow for old machines .

Free to try Web Based EMR from aptinfoway.com , The limitation to 25 patients , it’s listed as a Windows software , however it’s web based i do not see what’s the relation of windows to it . it’s screenshot show an organized interface .
SynapseEMR Express :
From a company that dedicated it’s work for EMR ( electronic Medical records ) , Synapsedirect.com , seems to be specilized in EMR Field as it has a suite for EMR solutions :
- SynapseEMR Express : Free EMR
- SynapseEMR Premium : Additional Features , made the Express became commercial .
- SynapseEMR ASP :Server Hosted EMR , Commercial Fee included .
- Synapse EMR Backup : a Backup suite for Synapse EMR solutions of Synapse ( Commercial ) .
However as you may guess , the Express is with the basic feature to run your clinic , though u might need the premium edition and the backup suite to keep yourself save .
