Platform , so now u used some web sites sometimes as desktop
applications , The main new concept is the simplicity , in design , development , information delivery , Web2.0 included many featured projects filed under many sections as (RSS - Podcasts - Weblogs - Wikis - Social bookmarking )
Web2.0 featured projects … adapted web2.0 concepts in developing web based systems make the internet more interactive , more simple to use , that adaptation included in :-
- Social Internet : Social Bookmarking del.icio.us , connotea.org (alot of social bookmarking services available now)
- Social News system : Digg , Newsvine.com
- Desktop like application : Online office (ThickFree Office / gOffice)
- online feeds readers ( Netvibes.com / google reader )
- Podcasts Services - using many Technology to produce podcasts including simple blogs , but what the online podcasts services? odeo.com to subscribe podcasts feeds / Podcasts.net as podcasts directory and podcasts search engine

What do we need to get out of the Web1.0 for the medical / health informatics related projects ??
- Web2.0
power is in the simplicity , in design , and development , that`s make
the projects really handy and easily to update with new features when
it`s needed - User Interactivity , that features provided by ajax , adding more interactivity and life to the web page , but is that the main use for ajax ?? (i`ll try to exclude it later another post)
- Simple Notification - RSS feeds , that feature included in many blogs - CMS - Wikis
- Rich Internet application : as Flash / Multimedia / adobe
- Simple search Friendly : remember the ajax elements not search friendly
- ajax Frameworks “alot of ajax frameworks Opensource free” but which is one to use?
- Modularity :- Modularity system allow the developers which use
the system to add and customize the system according to their needs ,
that`s could be developer side .. developing extensions - Plugins & addons sometimes make the system more strong and flexible especially if that Modules easy to develop simply
some notes about medical informatics developmet and web2.0
but Medical informatics and Web 2.0 are we there yet?????
