Collecta real time search engine

Collecta.com is a real time search engine which means it has the capability to search the information soon as its posted on the Internet ( social networks stream, or blogs stream ) .

The progress of updates of the information online becomes more faster every day , especially with micro-blogging service type as twitter . The real time stream is more faster now , which means its out of the field of the classic search engines techniques .

Collecta is using the [W:XMPP] instant messaging protocol (the same technology powering Google’s communication and collaboration tool Wave), which allows it to show information that’s truly in real-time, rather than items that are simply recent.

The need lead to invention , thats where the real-time search engines come . Collecta is not the only one there are some others . also some are specialized in social streams . ( Friendfeed.com ) .

Collecta reminds me something real time but medical its Healthmap.org which is also a real-time project . ( wrote about it in this post ) .

Collecta has a friendly design , its home is just a search box with simple introductory text . Search results page is ajax rich page , with more user interaction and real-time update of the results .

The user can specify the sources he wants to search , which is very handy feature , some services already added as Micro-blogging services ( as Twitter ) .

Collecta search results page , has 3 columns , one for search items which include search box , search options . ( left ), Results : list of posted materials at the social stream and news ( middle ) , and story items content ( right ) . The interface is simple , time saving and easy usable .

Notes :

There is no multi-pages search results , just older posts link . ( of course its a real time ) .
You can pause the process of getting more results from the stream .

6-Real-time search indicate people interests regarding their interaction to certain news and their social capability of re-publishing that news .
