DICOM viewers , and applications are very handy tools for radiologists , DICOM applications have a major impact on their work , DICOM software development , has interest from developers , engineers and researchers as well . but well what about what are the DICOM Viewers doctors can use ?! which means : UI friendly , OS compliant , with many other usable features , and most importantly how much they cost ?!
In this short run post i listed some DICOM viewers doctors can use , into 3 groups commercial , free and open source . i hope this list will be useful for who is looking for DICOM viewers .

Small size application , but it meant for greater tasks more than opening and viewing DICOM images , such as Searching text within DICOM file and highlight the relevant tag. Reveal the exact problematic tags in case of having corrupted DICOM file , Search texts in DICOM files directory and Update DICOM file tags.

1-Aeskulap Viewer ( Open source ) – link- :
Aeskulap is able to load a series of special images stored in the DICOM format for review. Additionally it is able to query and fetch DICOM images from archive nodes (also called PACS) over the network. Aeskulap tries to achieve a full open source replacement for commercially available DICOM viewers.

TutatiX it’s a Dicom Viewer written in python. TutatiX try to be a guide to known how Dicom works and how to develop an application. The must important part of TutatiX it’s the documentation that must be detailed and easy to understand.
10-V3D Viewer – link -:
V3D-Viewer is a Dicom and “Philips V3D 3DRA” Medical Volume Viewer based on .Net and the VTK library. With marching cubes, 3d planes and (3D texture) volume rendering, including histogram transparency and intensity curve selection tool.
