To develop an iPhone’s application or widget , there are two variationsdevelopers can use to build their iPhone app :  iPhone SDK ( iPhone SDK : is provided by apple for iPhone developers  ) and  web-based development , So web developers who are in large numbers now can precipitate in iPhone application development .

Web developers can build their own iPhone application that look and feel like native Apple iPhone applications , but there is a developer issue came up : SDK provides access to some base-level resources on the iPhone such as audio
recording and playback. while web based can not .

The idea of iPhone as a Multimedia and Internet enabled smartphone with free developer resources and capability of portability . will enable many of online medical projects to enable their web based medical applications for iPhone , in matter of time , though iPhone development and use still in early stage for that to suspect .

Also the competition between smartphones is just getting started , though the iPhone still the easiest one so far to build application for it , OpenMoko ( Open source smartphone – linux OS based ) and google android , are the incoming competitor for iPhones .
