OpenMOKO Open source alternative for Handheld systems for medical use !

OpenMoko is a project that focus on producing Open source mobile phones , ( Linux OS ) with hardware devices that runs OpenMOKO Linux .

Open source projects always been usable and productive field ( testing somehow )  for researcher , medical developers , and business development , however there is no much work to develop open source medical practice or health  related applications on it so far .

You can install Debian linux on  [w: OpenMOKO]  following this instructions , also you can install OpenMOKO emulator on Ubuntu .

OpenMOKO is a perfect alternative for those who are looking for flexibility and more customization in their projects , after all its all open source .

OpenMOKO , has rich wiki , full of resources and tutorials , as a developer i suggest you read out and check the videos .

GNUMED , and other medical softwares at linux , should consider making an edition for OpenMOKO , as i think it’ll be great head start for Medical realted development for Open source hand held systems .

Why i see openMOKO as a better alternative for iPhones and Android :

  1. Linux Power : flexibility , Open source , contributions , community and support.
  2. Software repositories : is one of the best advantage for OpenMoko Linux use .
  3. Community support , which buzzing around open source activities .
  4. Customization , and modifications .
