Pbs : provides a series of educational material about the brain , this series includes :

  • 3D brain anatomy : first i saw this was about 7 years ago , its a nice educational material that you can explore the brain by Area or by Function . with a text summary about the content in the top left box .

adding the zoom and rotation capability extend the imagination of the use .

3D brain anatomy needs Shockwave player .

  • Scanning the brain : where you can find basic knowledgeable summary about the various way to scan the brain , with some historical tips . however its a useful classification for people who are not involved in medicine and students . scanning includes :
  1. EEG : electroencephalograph
  2. CAT : Computerized Axial Tomography scan
  3. PET : Positron Emission Tomography .
  4. MRI , fMRI : Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging .
  5. MEG : Magnetoencephalography .

Also there are episodes about brain in different ages : baby’s brain to aging brain .

i believe this 3D brain anatomy had been built with an old technology Macromedia director ( now adobe director ) , before 2003 .  however , its a nice example that a multimedia and news company built it for its audiance
